York International is open and ready to serve students, faculty, staff, and visitors interested in the international experience with York University. YI assists with applications, advising, exchanges, and other issues for students. We also assist faculty with exchanges and agreements. And we are the international liaison for international inquiries and diplomatic visits to YorkU. We look forward to helping you!

International students are strongly encourged to monitor the York University website as well as their yorku.ca student email account, their student Notebox via Passport York, and their my.Yorku.ca portal page for official communications from the University. Non-yorku.ca accounts are not recommended for official communications due to some accounts getting caught by spam filters.

Graduating International Students Seminar - FEB. 11
York International would like to welcome all graduating international students to the "Winter 2010 Graduating International Students Seminar". The seminar will consist of two parts as follows: 1. Post-Graduation Work Permit & Related Matters - "I have completed my degree requirements/I am about to complete my degree requirements, now what do I need in order to apply for the Post-Graduation Work Permit Program (PGWP)?" - this question will be addressed in the first half of the seminar. 2. Looking for Jobs after Graduation - A guest speaker from the Career Centre will present tips and job strategies for finding a job after graduation.

An open letter from the associate vice-president international:

President Shoukri issued a statement on behalf of York University regarding the tragedy that befell Haiti on January 12th. I would like to express my personal sadness at the destruction that has taken place and the concern that we all feel here at York International for you and your families and friends.

25 January 2010 - China University of Geosciences signs MOU
York University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the China University of Geosciences (CUG) Beijing to promote cooperation between the two universities for graduate and undergraduate students. The agreement was signed on Wednesday, Jan. 13, by York President & Vice-Chancellor Mamdouh Shoukri and CUG Beijing President Wu Ganguo during a visit to York University’s Keele campus.
