The Killam Fellowships Program provides an opportunity for exceptional undergraduate students from universities in Canada to spend either one semester or a full academic year as an exchange student in the United States. The program aims to increase mutual understanding between Canada and the United States through direct personal involvement and is the first of its kind, at this level, between Canada and the United States.
The Killam Fellowships Program provides a cash award of $5,000 US per semester.

- University of Maine
- SUNY Plattsburgh
- Smith College
- University of Southern California (USC)
- Vanderbilt University
- University of Washington
- Wellesley College

This program requires a separate application available on the Killam Fellowship website. Applicants should note that selection is based primarily on GPA and faculty recommendations. A high GPA (8.0 and over) is required for consideration. The program is currently open to Canadian citizens only.
The deadline to apply for the 2013-2014 year Killam Fellowship program is December 17, 2012.
