Orientation is required for international and exchange students starting studies at York University. Come and experience a full, fun-packed day of orientation events. Orientation is an excellent opportunity for you to learn everything you will need to know about your time here at York University. You will learn how to find the services that you need, what clubs and organizations you can join, and what programs and services York International has to offer. It is also a great way to meet new friends. So come out and enjoy the day!

Registration is mandatory.

The orientation takes the form of a one-day seminar designed with the specific needs of international students in mind and includes presentations on a wide range of topics such as:

  • Introduction to York International
  • Immigration & Health Considerations
  • Canada & Canadianisms
  • Cross Cultural Adjustment
  • Introduction to Toronto
  • Student Survival Session

Orientation is free for all new / incoming international students.

 

International Student Summer Orientation

Summer Orientation will take place Thursday, April 26, 2012 in 280N York Lanes from 9:00am - 5:00pm.
