This page contains information on how to file income tax returns in Canada. International students who had income while they were in Canada (including scholarships and bursaries) must fill out an income tax return. Even students who have not had income should file an income tax form since they may be eligible to get money back.
The income tax year in Canada is January to December, and forms are generally due the end of April of the year following. (January - December 2012 tax returns are due not later than April 30, 2013.)
